She began her call here in December of 2003. Pastor Julia is a native of Fargo, North Dakota where her mother, grandmother, and some extended family still reside.

Pastor Julia graduated in May of 1999 with a B.A. in English Literature and Sociology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  It was during her last years of college that she felt a call to ministry. From college, Pastor Julia enrolled at Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 2003.

During her third year of seminary, Pastor Julia did an internship at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Flatville, Illinois.  It was there that she met her husband Brad. They were married on July 11, 2003. Pastor Julia and Brad now reside in St. Joseph in a wonderful house that Brad’s dad, Marvin Rademacher, helped build for them.  Pastor Julia and Brad also had the wonderful blessing of giving birth to their daughter, Abigail Olivia.  "Abbey" is getting bigger every day and is the joy of their lives!

Pastor Julia is very excited and feels very blessed to have been called to St. Matthew.  She loves the people of St. Matthew, especially the youth.
